Who doesn't dream of a healthy, younger-looking skin? Peeling is a treatment that removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin to achieve smoother-looking skin with a luminous and even complexion. Results are visible from the very first session!
From the day Cleopatra used lactic acid to the acids of today, chemical peels are the ultimate glow for the skin.
The skin has two layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is the thin layer in contact with the outside: it is very thin since its thickness is only 0.02 mm on the face.
The peel consists in applying a chemical substance on the skin (most often an acid) to the skin, in order to cause limited and controlled destruction of the epidermis or even the surface layers of the dermis.
The goal of this destruction is to obtain a regeneration of the destroyed layers and to stimulate the production of elastic fibers and collagen in the underlying layers, in order to densify the skin.
Peeling helps to fight against:
- heliodermitis (skin damage linked to the sun): brown spots, blurred complexion, - small wrinkles
- skin pigmentation like pregnancy mask
- acne, especially blackheads and microcysts, pigmented spots after acne pimples and acne scars.
